The P180 Avanti II combines elegant style with remarkable performance with operating costs that are up to 40% lower than jet aircraft of equivalent size. The Piaggio P180 Avanti is an Italian twin-engine turboprop aircraft produced by Piaggio Aero. It seats up to nine passengers in a pressurized cabin, and may be flown by one or two pilots. The design uses a small forward wing and a main wing combination that places the wing spars outside of the passenger cabin area. Although the front wing resembles a canard configuration, a conventional horizontal stabilizer on the tail provides longitudinal stability and pitch trim.
A complex aeronautical research project which required years of development and thousands of tests in the wind tunnel produced a technologically advanced aircraft featuring totally innovative approaches to design and construction. With its outstanding integration of advanced technological solutions and standard equipment offering time-tested operational efficiency, the P180 Avanti II combines superior performance with the very highest levels of reliability and safety.
The P 180 Avanti II is the only aircraft in its class with a true stand-up cabin with a height of 5 feet 9 inches. Besides being able to stand up straight, passengers can move about freely thanks to the large cross-section of the cabin. The space inside the P.180 Avanti II is comparable with some Mid Size jet aircraft.
